DUO TECHNOLOGY
FOR FASTER RECOVERY & SAFE SURGERIES†
DUO (Dielectric Ultra-focused Oscillatory) is a dielectric-heating approach that excites polar molecules—primarily water—within tissue to produce rapid oscillation and controlled heating. Coupled with a dual-layer insulation architecture that localizes a uniform electric field along the edge and concentrates it at the distal tip, the technique is designed to support effective coagulation while naturally moderating cutting temperature near the water vaporization point (~100 °C)¹. This self-limiting behavior helps prevent overheating and supports low-temperature dissection with reduced thermal injury² and reduced surgical smoke³.
DUO Technology Advantages
· Supports low-temperature soft-tissue dissection¹
· Designed to enable concurrent, reliable coagulation/hemostasis⁴
· Self-limiting near the water vaporization point (~100 °C) — helps prevent overheating¹
· Helps minimize carbonization²
· Helps reduce surgical smoke³
· Localized electric field (uniform at the edge, concentrated at the tip) for controlled energy delivery

¹ Pre-clinical testing demonstrated that Duoblade® operates at temperatures up to 100 °C, lower than traditional electrosurgical devices, which exceed 230 °C. Data on File.
² Pre-clinical histologic evaluation showed that Duoblade® resulted in up to 70% less thermal injury compared to traditional electrosurgical devices at the 50 W cutting setting. Data on File.
³ Pre-clinical testing showed that Duoblade® reduced surgical-smoke production by up to 87% versus traditional electrosurgical devices—and by up to 96% when used with a smoke evacuator. Data on File.
⁴ Pre-clinical testing demonstrated that Duoblade® reduced blood loss by more than 93% compared with a scalpel. Data on File.
